Under general direction of the Assistant Vice President of Risk Management, the Senior Risk Management Services Manager leads out with the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive risk management program.
Responsibilities include cultivating relationships with stakeholders on risk management exposure issues. They will also pursue opportunities to implement innovative strategic risk management services. They will also promote the integration of the Risk Management Department with other departments through the identification and delivery of realistic services and solutions.
What you will be doing:
Pursuing opportunities to implement strategic risk management services.
Supporting VP and AVP of Risk Management to ensure insurance program is managed effectively by directing resources, including insurance brokers, and third-party experts (i.e. external safety, engineering, claims adjusters, and loss control).
Directing the OCIP Risk Control Program and evaluating potential risk or loss exposure for current and future activities and operations.
Supporting the management of safety and claims systems and processes and the implementation and operation of the Risk Information System.
Recommending safety and claim management protocol where appropriate while monitoring costs.
Participating in the implementation of emergency response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management plans.
Planning, organizing, leading, integrating and evaluating the work of assigned staff.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree with major in Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a closely related field.
Seven (7) years of experience in risk control (safety, claim) and risk management.
Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
Must have one or more of the following industry certifications:
Associate in Risk Management (ARM),
Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or
Certified Risk Management (CRM) or equivalent.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
Knowledge with basic litigation rules, as related to service, timing, customary motions and other standard discovery tools.
Project management experience.
Strong software skills using Visio, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Ability to travel as required.
What we desire:
Professional designation as a
Certified Safety Professional (CSP),
Certified Health Safety Professional (CHSP),
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and/or
other equally recognized industry certification.
Texas Multi-lines Adjuster License.
Subject Matter Expert in developing safety management programs, incident and claim program, RMIS implementation and management.
Experience with self-funded and/or self-claims administered programs.
